Rigid boxes are built on greyboard — a real load-bearing wall, not folded paper. We wrap 1.0–3.0mm board with printed or specialty paper in our own workshop, so the corners stay sharp and the lid fit stays consistent across thousands of units.

Every style is made to your dieline — size, wall thickness and closure are engineered around your product, not picked from a catalog.
The classic two-piece setup. Oversized lids give a slow, premium reveal; straight lids pack tighter for shipping.
Hinged like a book with hidden magnets in the cover. Perceived value is the highest of any structure we make.
Outer shell with a sliding inner tray, finished with a ribbon or finger notch. Great for multi-item sets.
Seamless wound tubes with flat or domed lids. A strong shelf silhouette that stands out next to square boxes.
An inner "neck" creates a step between lid and base — the luxury watch-box profile. Adds rigidity and a satisfying stop.
Any structure can take a custom-cut insert — EVA foam, molded pulp, or fabric-covered board to hold products in place.
The board decides how the box feels in the hand; the wrap decides how it looks on the shelf. We stock both, so material upgrades do not add supplier lead time.
| Material | Weight / Thickness | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Greyboard (chipboard) | 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 mm | The structural core. 1.5mm covers most gift boxes; 2.5–3.0mm for large or load-bearing lids. |
| Art paper (C1S) wrap | 128 / 157 / 175 gsm | Full CMYK printing wrap — the workhorse for photo-quality graphics. |
| Specialty paper | 110–140 gsm | Textured, metallic, or pearlescent finishes. Print with foil/screen instead of offset for a tactile look. |
| Cloth & linen wrap | custom | For book-style and high-end sets; pairs naturally with blind deboss and foil. |
| Kraft wrap | 120–150 gsm | For eco-positioned rigid boxes; prints well in one or two colors. |
All board is sourced to your target caliper with tolerance ±0.1mm; wrap papers can be FSC-certified on request.
Every finish below runs in-house — no outsourcing means consistent color across reorders.
Yes. Send us a sample or the dieline with board caliper — we measure wall thickness, lid overlap and wrap paper, then submit a counter-sample for approval before production.
We select magnet count and size based on lid surface area and weight, then confirm pull-force on the physical sample. Standard is 2 pairs of N35 magnets; luxury lids use 4+.
Rigid boxes typically run 3–6× the unit price of a folding carton at the same print quality, because board is wrapped by hand. The trade-off is dramatically higher perceived value — most clients reserve rigid for hero SKUs.
